How can I change the default installation location in Windows 10?

By default, Windows 10 puts all software that you install from the App Store in the “C:\Porgram Files\WindowsApps” folder and saves user data in “C:\Users[User name]\AppData\Local\Packages”. If, for any reason, you want to change the location of the files, you can, of course, do so as follows:

Open Windows Settings by pressing [Win+I], then select System | Storage. On the right, you can see how much space your system is taking up on the SSD (or hard disk) and how much of that space can be used for applications.

Scroll down to the Additional storage space settings section, then select Change to save new content. When changing the storage space, it is helpful to know that internal SSDs and hard drives can be selected and drives that use an external USB connection. In the latter case, however, the Storage must use the NTFS file system!
