Windows stores a lot of login data, information that we use for web services or applications. Credentials Manager is helpful because it saves you from entering your credentials repeatedly, for example when you want to access a password-protected shared folder on the network.
However, if the credentials change, editing the data in the database is not easy, and it is a problem if Windows wants to log in with the data it has stored that is no longer valid. If you’re going to change any of the stored information, go to the Start menu, locate Credentials Manager, and select the item you want to change in the list that appears. Press the arrow to the right of the chosen item row and select Edit.
Or, if you feel more comfortable, you have the option of deleting the record in question and entering the new values the next time you need them (and Windows prompts you).
