How can I always start the File Manager with the same folders?

To make Windows Explorer always show the same directory after startup, we have to take a small detour, because the file manager does not offer a suitable setting for this. Right-click on a free space on the desktop and select New / Shortcut.

If, for example, you always want to open the “D:\Photos” folder after startup, type “%windir%\Explorer.exe /e,D:\Photos” at the first step of the wizard.

After a click on the Next button, give the shortcut the name Explorer and save the changes by clicking Finish. Then remove the Explorer icon from the taskbar and integrate your own shortcut instead.
