Users who use Notepad to take notes or keep minutes do not necessarily need to enter the date and time manually.
When you press F5, Notepad automatically inserts this information at the mouse pointer position. Better still, if the first line of a text file is the LOG word, the date and time are inserted on a new line each time the file is opened.
