How can I keep the presentation time on track when using PowerPoint during a presentation?

For those who often hold presentations and use PowerPoint, there’s a simple way to stop them from running out of time.

This is made possible by using the Reloader view, which you turn on in the Slideshow area of the menu bar in the Monitors section. During a presentation, the Loader view also shows the elapsed time and the current clock time. But it is also possible to insert the time into the presentation so that the audience can see it. To do this, go to the Insert menu and click on the date and time icon in the Text area.

In the window that opens, check the Date and Time checkbox and the Automatic Update checkbox, and select a date and time format from the drop-down boxes. Validate with the All button to display the date and time on all slides. A prerequisite for using this function is that two displays are available – this is not usually a problem in the case of a cinema with a separate projector.
