In particular, after installing the big update that comes regularly every six months, Windows 10 displays a special welcome page, which is partly about the most important features and partly about unsolicited tips for using the operating system. To prevent this unwanted help, open the Start menu by right-clicking on the Start button and left-clicking on the Start menu entry. Select the System category and go to Notifications and Actions in the left column.
In the main window, under Notifications, turn off the Show Windows Welcome screen, which is on by default after updates and occasionally at normal logon, to see what’s new and suggestions and the Show tips, tricks, and suggestions when using Windows settings.
In addition, you can safely turn off Device Setup Tips, which also rarely contain really useful settings.
