How can I automatically update the date in a document?

Anyone who uses Word to create applications, invoices, and the like, and uses a previously saved document, can make their work easier by ensuring that the date stamped in the document template is automatically updated. This is not too difficult, as Word offers a special function for this.

Move the mouse pointer to the place where the date should appear, open the Insert tab on the menu bar and click on the Date and Time menu icon in the Text area. Under Formats, select the desired version, for example, 21 October 2021, turn on Automatic update, and click OK to close the window.
