Windows 10 displays notifications about current events, such as new mail, updates, and updated apps. However, these notifications are only visible for five seconds by default, so you might miss important information. But you can set the length of time you want to see the notifications.
Open the Settings with the Windows+ I shortcut and click on the Easy to use category. In the right-hand column, select Display, and scroll down to the right-hand side of the screen to the area called Windows Customize and Personalize. In the drop-down list under Show notifications, increase the display time to 15 seconds. The maximum is five minutes.
The setting will take effect immediately – so no restart is necessary in this case.
