Before making any changes to the registry database, it is recommended that you back it up so that you can restore the registry if necessary. Open the Run window with Windows+R, type: Regedit, and click OK. Answer Yes to the question about the administration of user accounts. After right-clicking on the Computer entry, select Export from the local menu. This will open a new window where you will be asked to enter the name and location of the backup, and finally, click Save to perform the operation.
If you encounter problems after a registry update, double-click the backup file and answer yes to the following question. After restarting the computer, the registry will be restored to its original state and Windows will work properly again.
