How do I use Windows Explorer to get the IP address of other network devices?

In Windows Explorer, one-click on Network will show you all devices integrated into your home wired network that can communicate with Windows.

But no matter which of the eight display variants is turned on, it’s impossible to get the IP address of the devices from the File Manager.

A little trick can still get you there: select the Details view, and the previously greyed-out Add Columns menu command becomes active. Click on it and select IP Address from the drop-down menu. This will bring up the information in the file manager.

Why the IP address of some devices still does not appear is something only Windows developers know.
