Chip shortages are a global problem

Although the situation is not rosy at the moment, analyst firm XMG/Schenker expects the chip shortage in the microchip market, which is hampering notebook production, among others, to ease towards the end of the year.

Among processors, AMD Ryzen 5000 series and 11th generation Intel Core i processors, for example, are available in much larger numbers than a few months ago, and Realtek has also reported encouraging information on the availability of HD Audio chips.

However, the problem could be that the short supply of one of the many components could again be a problem.
