To access a network share using Windows File Manager, you don’t need to click Network in the left-hand column and then select the device, you can open it by typing the name assigned to it on the network.
Left-click on the address bar, type \\ then the device name, and hit enter. It is very beneficial that Windows Explorer remembers successful connections.
If you click on the down arrow on the right edge of the address bar, you will see all saved devices in the list.
